How to make a good karma/happiness milkshake!!
If you're feeling down, I highly recommend that you follow these steps to boost your mood and maybe even your luck!!
1. Compliment.
If you're unsure as to how you could slip a compliment into a conversation with a well-known person, compliment a randomer. Soon you won't feel so shy. I suggest find a budding young talent on YouTube, a video with maybe less than a thousand views and write them out, a well thought of compliment/comment. Bonus points for being the first person to like the video. Bonus Bonus points if the person writes back to say thanks. I'm telling you, if you start spreading the love, it comes back in funny ways sometimes. It will have you oozing with euphoria in no time!
2. Help the planet.
I know everyone always says you know ' Oh help the planet it will make you happy blah blah blah...' but I never once believed them. But now-a-days it's almost too easy to cause changes in a good way in our surrounding society. Sign some petitions from the comfort of your own bedroom. (I suggest http://www.thepetitionsite.com/) Maybe it'll help maybe it won't but you can always try, I mean, what does it cost you to put down your name??
Volunteer. Volunteer. Volunteer. Whether it's your charity shop, local nursing home, scout troop, football club, give a little and I promise you it won't go unnoticed. ANYTHING GUYS!! Use your imagination, I'm sure it won't take long.
3. Fresh air and exercise.
I know it sounds cheesy, but when your parents told you to play in the garden because it's better for you than being indoors, they spoke the truth. Oxygen and exercise get your blood pumping faster which when your done, as long as you don't over-do it, will have those fun happiness endorphins rushing through your bloodstream. You'll be oozing with smiles for a good 24 hours.
4. Me time.
Whether it be spending an hour moisturizing after your shower, catching up on your fave TV shows, watching a movie you've always wanted to see or learning something new, like how to draw Henna tattoos. It's important to devote a little bit of every day to me time. You won't regret.
